Sensors Hot metal sensing devices are electronic detectors to track the presence, absence, or position of hot objects emitting visible or non-visible infrared radiation.  Detection of the object is made without physical contact with the hot product, and is possible at trip levels as low as 270°C.  Bulletin 9100 series of hot metal detectors are used wherever the presence of rod, billet, bar, slab, plate, or strip position is crucial to the process.
